Van Schaik Bookstore has announced today the names of 20 finalists competing for the title of South Africa’s “Top Student Digital Influencer” in promoting the innovative Van Schaik Rewards Mobile App.
The 20 finalists in the Van Schaik Student Influencer Search campaign were selected from more than 5,700 applicants. They had one week to ‘influence’ friends, fans and followers to download the App whom thereafter would start earning their own rewards to enjoy benefits. The final leg of the competition launches today and runs until 23:59 on 30 April 2020.
Amid challenges wrought by Global and National regulations aimed at preventing the spread of the new Corona virus, South Africa has an added burden in high levels of youth *unemployment. This campaign is a means for students to get earnings by leveraging their social networks digitally therefore in compliance with social-distancing guidance. Support and training will be provided by designated campaign hosts.
Each finalist will be paid a commission, based on the number of people they get to download and use the Van Schaik Rewards App. The top 3 finalists will be awarded JanSport backpacks, known for their lifetime guarantee and superior quality. An overall winner will be named the 2020 Van Schaik’s “Top Student Digital Influencer”.
